James Patterson holds a candle for writing amazing mystery and suspense novels.  I have a few on my shelves, some I've read a time or twenty and some that have been gifted over but haven't made it to through the read pile yet.  This weeks to read or well, to re-read is an Alex Cross novel by Patterson.

Alex Cross is back in a novel with a cast of characters more sinister and deadlier than ever. Gary Soneji, a dying prison escapee, is looking for revenge on Cross, while another insane killer is pursued by Thomas Augustine Pierce--a brilliant and relentless detective who may even be better than Cross. As the bodies pile up, and Cross is nearly murdered in his own home, the game of cat and mouse leads to one final trap, and it's anyone's guess who will survive.

 Last year for Munchkin's birthday I picked up this book for him.  A story for a middle grade reader from an author that I love.  Finding middle grade level books that are still approriate for Munchkin at his younger age is hard!  And as he is actually more a young adult reading level is even harder!  I've skimmed it, I've looked over it but I've never sat down and read it properly.  That has to change, soon.
